Autumn Series - Autumn Colours Inspired Eyes ♥

A fun, colourful make up look for when your feeling a bit bolder and adventurous! Just because the weather is getting duller doesn't mean your make up has to! Let the wonderful Autumn colours inspire you ♥

Firstly any make up look must begin with a fresh, prepped complexion! I take a cotton pad and apply a few drops of my favourite cleanser, the B. Pure Micellar Water then gently wipe all over my face to remove any impurities. I then take a nice little dollop of my Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer and rub it gently into my face, mainly focusing on my dry areas such as my forehead and around my nose.

Our next step is to even out the skin tone with a foundation! Today i'm using a tinted moisturizer by e.l.f  in the shade Porcelain as my skin is in quite good condition at the moment so i didn't feel i needed the full coverage most foundations offer, obviously though use what suits you best!

I apply a little splodge of this to the back of my hand and dip my Real Techniques Stippling Brush in then blend it into my skin. This brush seriously is the best thing I've ever used to create a even, well blended, natural finish its amazing!

Got to cover those bags, we don't want to look tired now do we?! Well coverage of any under eye darkness is recommended when applying darker eye shadows because the shadow(s) could end up making them look a million times worse than they probably are!

The concealer i'm using is the All Over Cover Stick from e.l.f in the shade Apricot Beige. I've also used this to highlight the center of my forehead and my nose.

I then take my favourite powder, the e.l.f Studio Tone Correcting Powder in the shade cool (which is the perfect match for my snow white skin!) and lightly dust it all over my face to lock in the foundation and most importantly the concealer as it tends to just creep off without!

Using the same Lydia Cosmetics fluffy brush i used for my face powder i swirl it around in my Vivo pink blush and apply to my cheek bones. I feel a flushed, rosy cheek goes perfect with this look as it looks very season appropriate and especially if you have fair skin, if not grab that bronzer and contour!

As my skin is light contouring is something i tend to do very fairly, or i could end up looking like an umpa lumpa very quickly which to be honest is never desired. So all i do is use the little brush the Honolulu Bronzer comes with to create 2 lines in the hollows under my cheek bones, then take my Real Techniques angled brush to blend it in naturally.

Brows are obviously essential! I use the Studio Eyebrow Kit from e.l.f, which comes with a dark brown gel to define the brow and a lighter powder to set. I use a Lydia Cosmetics angled brush, as its the perfect tool to create the shape i desire with ease.

Time for colour! The palettes i'm using are the e.l.f 100 Eye Shadow Palette and the Make Up Revolution Salvation Palette. I've marked the colours I've used with little hearts.

So firstly i used the mustard colour from the e.l.f palette and applied it a quarter of the way up from my inner corner.
I then blended the bright orange colour from the Salvation Palette into the yellow and down almost to the end of my lid.
So far this look is very bright and groovy (haha yes i said groovy) which isn't quite what i want so i take the pinky purple shade, (which is so beautiful i may add) and blend it into the orange and up into my crease to darken the look and pull it all together.
Finally i take the darkest purple and apply that right to the end of my lid and up into my crease to add even more depth.

To add consistency to the look i blend the pinky purple shade and the dark purple under my bottom lash line. I think this really opens the eye up too! I then applied brown liner to my inner top lash line, to create the illusion of thicker lashes and used my liquid eyeliner pen to create a classic thin to thick flick. Oh and curl them lashes, its a must!

Finally apply your favourite mascara, I've been loving the ModelCo Power Lash Mascara, a couple coat and we're done! On my lips I'm wearing a combo of the NYX Butter Lipstick in the shade Hunk, and on top to make matte the Make Up Revolution Lipstick in the shade Fusion. It creates a nice purpely berry toned lip which i think goes perfect with this bright Autumn inspired eye look.

Below are a few close ups of the finished look and an overview of all the products and brushes i used!

So whats is your opinion on this look? I understand this may not be for everyone as the colours used are quite bright and its definitely not subtle! Although if your having a day where you feel like trying something new and stepping out of your everyday make up routine i recommend something colourful like this, you might just surprise yourself and love it!

Lets embrace all these beautiful Autumnal colours before they fade away for another year!
Personally i feel looks like this work well for me as i'm quite a colourful, quirky orientated person (hence my multi-coloured braids! Hehe) plus i love how the colours complement my blue eyes.

( An overview of all the products and brush i used! They are all linked within this blog :) )
A little promo for the 5 black brushes above as i find them amazing for the price. These are Lydia Cosmetics Brushes, i purchased them as a set of 16 off of Ebay for only £7.99! They are all super soft, and such great quality with no shedding what so ever. I've linked them above, so if your in the market for a new set of brushes but your on a budget i really do recommend you check these out!

If you've been wondering what those crazy braids are about throughout this post, this is why! I love plating my hair into loads of braids when i'm bored as its quite therapeutic.

I find its best to do this when my hair has semi dried then to sleep in them. In the morning i remove the braids then boom lovely crimp styled waves!

I simply pin back my shorter fringe pieces to make it look a bit more put together and i'm done! This works nice on my hair as i have curly thick hair but i could imagine it'd create a nice effect on straight to wavy hair too.
Just a simple, quick hair idea perhaps for mornings you'd rather sleep a little longer than sort out the mop!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments if you decide to try this make up look out, you could even tag me on instagram @kimberries_Corner if you wish!

Have a lovely day.
